Mary Helen Gillespie

Mary Helen Gillespie is a financial journalist, editor, and internet pioneer. Her background includes stints as a business columnist for The Boston Globe, assistant managing editor for business at the Boston Herald, and the executive editor of the first real-time financial news web site: BusinessToday.com

Mary Helen has also held senior leadership roles in digital risk management communications for financial-services giants including Bank of America, TD Bank and Citizens Bank.

She has taught digital journalism, public relations and strategic communications courses at Northeastern University and Southern New Hampshire University.

Mary Helen is a summa cum laude graduate of the School of Journalism at Northeastern. She has an MBA from the Damore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern.

She has volunteered in nonprofit organizations including The Children's Museum of Boston, The Carroll School for the Blind and The YMCA of Nashua, N.H.
